Once absorbed, the laser energy is rapidly converted into heat. 1. What is EVLT?

Endovenous Laser Treatment (EVLT) is a minimally invasive laser procedure in which a thin optical fiber is introduced into the diseased vein under ultrasound guidance. Laser energy is delivered along the vein, causing controlled thermal injury to the vessel wall. This leads to vein closure and subsequent absorption by the body, effectively treating varicose veins and other venous disorders.
